Sainthood isn’t Enough for Salvadoran Archbishop Óscar Romero

In 2003, CJA filed a lawsuit against former Salvadoran Air Force captain Alvaro Saravia for his role in the assassination of Archbishop Óscar Romero. Although we obtained a judgment against him in a U.S. District Court for crimes against humanity, Saravia fled and is now in hiding.
