Sonja Sheasley joined CJA as Communications Assistant in 2026. She brings experience in strategic communications across government, emergency management, nonprofit organizations, and NGOs, where she has led media relations, digital communications, public engagement, and storytelling initiatives. Throughout her career, she has focused on making complex issues accessible, building public trust through clear communication, and helping mission-driven organizations connect with the communities they serve. Sonja holds degrees in Applied Linguistics, Psychology, and Women’s Studies. Her academic work in Applied Linguistics emphasized language, power, and education as tools for social change.
