Amira Guy (she/her/hers), Legal Fellow, is a U.S. lawyer based in Washington, D.C. During law school, Amira worked full-time as a legal extern at the U.S. Department of Justice Human Rights and Special Prosecutions Section and assisted the office in its efforts to hold human rights violators accountable for genocide and crimes against humanity. She served as the editor-in-chief of the Northwestern Journal of Human Rights and also worked as a student attorney at the International Human Rights Advocacy Clinic. Her work in the clinic focused on government accountability and transparency.
Before attending law school, Amira worked as a legal intern at the Institute to Address Commercial Sexual Exploitation at Villanova Law supporting expungement and clemency efforts. Amira received her B.A. from Villanova University.
