Volunteer

As a small non-profit organization, CJA relies on the help of volunteers and pro bono professionals who are dedicated to bringing human rights abusers to justice. We offer volunteer opportunities for students or professionals.

CJA partners with outside law firms and investigation firms who provide significant pro bono resources to investigate and litigate large and complex cases on behalf of our clients, to help bring our cases to trial and hold human rights abusers accountable. On occasion, we also work with lawyers, non-legal professionals, and other volunteers on a pro bono basis on more limited and discrete projects.  This includes appellate work, FOIA, foreign language translation, country monitoring, research, fundraising, marketing, IT/tech, web and graphic design, special event support, and administrative assistance.

If you are interested in providing pro bono support to CJA, please email center4justice@cja.org with the subject line “Volunteer at CJA.”

Note: CJA is an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse, multicultural work environment.  People of color, women, people with disabilities, and people of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities are encouraged to apply.
