Faces of Genocide Premiere

Faces of Genocide explores the shameful succession of genocidal atrocities in the 20th and early 21st centuries. Survivors of genocide speak for themselves in this short form documentary (32 min.) about the culture of cruelty that humanity has allowed to endure. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with survivors and a leading human rights scholar who are in the film.

The Crime of Complicity: The Bystander from the Holocaust to Today

CJA is proud to co-host Amos N. Guiora, Professor of Law University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law who will discuss his new book: The Crime of Complicity: The Bystander from the Holocaust to Today. Professor Guiora is a significant contributor to “Bystander—Duty to Act” legislation in Utah and is engaging with legislators and Attorneys General across the country on the topic. In his book, Professor Guiora discusses the bystander – victim relationship from a deeply personal and legal perspective, focusing first on the Holocaust and then exploring cases in contemporary society.
