Instituto de Derechos Humanos de la UCA is a San Salvador-based human rights organization affiliated with the Universidad Centroamericana

Tutela Legal

Tutela Legal is the legal aid office of the Archdiocese of San Salvador.  The group was responsible for collecting forensic evidence of human rights abuses during El Salvador’s civil conflict.

El Rescate

El Rescate is a Los Angeles-based social service organization.  The group was founded to assist refugees from El Salvador during the civil war and currently advocates on behalf of political refugees.

CARECEN

The Central American Resource Center is an NGO that works on attaining legal status for refugees from El Salvador in the U.S.

Human Rights First

Formerly the Lawyers Committee for Human Rights, Human Rights First is a New York-based human rights organization.  The organization supports human rights defenders and works to protect refugees and advocate for the international human rights system.

International Human Rights Law Clinic: U.C. Berkeley

The International Human Rights Law Clinic at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law engages in advocacy, research and litigation on behalf of vulnerable and marginalized individuals and communities.

Amnesty International USA is an NGO that draws attention to grave human rights abuses and seeks justice on behalf of victims.

DPLF

Foundación para el Debido Proceso Legal is a U.S.-based organization working to reform the justice systems of countries in Latin America.  DPLF’s issues include transparency, equal access to justice and international justice.

WOLA

The Washington Office on Latin America is an NGO promoting human rights, democracy and social and economic justice throughout Latin American and the Caribbean.

Guernica 37

Guernica 37 specializes in transnational litigation enforcing human rights and international criminal norms in national courts.
